The word karma is often misunderstood. Many people think of us as a system of reward and punishment — as if the universe is keeping score. In my experience as a Spiritual Coach and Medium, I have come to understand karma differently. Karma is not about judgment. It is about growth. It is one of the ways the universe gently teaches our souls through the law of cause and effect.
Every thought, word, and action carries energy. The energy we send into the world has a way of returning to us, often bringing opportunities to learn, heal, and become more aligned with our highest purpose.
Here are a few insights that may help you better understand karma and how it works in your spiritual life.
Karma Is a teacher, not a Punishment Life’s challenges are not always signs that you have done something wrong. Often, they are invitations to grow in wisdom, compassion, patience, or forgiveness. Karma helps us recognize the lessons our soul came here to learn.
Every Choice Has Energy: The way you speak to others, the kindness you offer, the forgiveness you extend, and even the thoughts you nurture are rooted in love, honesty, and integrity, you contribute positive energy not only to your own life but also to the lives of those around you.
Forgiveness Changes Your Future: Holding on to anger or resentment can keep us connected to painful experiences long after they have passed. Forgiveness does not excuse harmful behavior, nor does it mean forgetting. It means choosing to free your heart from the weight of bitterness so healing can begin.
Personal Responsibility Is Empowering: Karma reminds us that while we cannot always control what happens to us, we can choose how we respond. Every decision you make today becomes part of the path you are creating for tomorrow. This is not something to fear, it is something to embrace.
