By now you should know that there is a storm coming — and I’m not talking about the weather! The Republican Party has given up on democracy and decided to go all the way with the BIG LIE. I urge and plead with my community that we must all register to vote, be ready to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, and prepared to vote in the 2024 presidential elections. We must begin today! Please register, and get your family, friends, and colleagues to register to vote as well. The democratic political system is being challenged by a racist and right-wing conservative movement. They want to cleanse America of all people of color, of those that don’t think like them, they want to cleanse same-sex marriage, and eliminate the right of a woman to have her own choice when it comes to her body. I know many people have problems with the Democratic organization, locally, statewide, and with our national leaders. I am not happy with President Biden, I’m not too happy with the way democrats have taken my people for granted (Puerto Ricans/Latinos), but believe me, it’s going to be a lot worst, like 1000% a lot worst under the Republican and Conservative politicians. Let us prepare to vote for the democratic candidates in the midterm elections and 2023. After that, we can all unite and put the democratic organization in its place. Honestly, I would love to see another democrat run for president in 2024, he is too weak for me, but I will vote for him if he is the only democrat running against the madness of the other side. We need to protect the democratic experiment. Racism and Fascism are alive in this country. WE CAN’T CONTINUE TO COMPLAIN; WE MUST REGISTER TO VOTE, ORGANIZE, AND WORK TOGETHER TO PRESERVE DEMOCRACY. As for our problem with the democrats, after we defeat the madness, we can organize and go after the bad democrats. Believe me, I know many of them, but they are not racist or fascist. They are terrible for our local Latino community, but they are not a danger to America.  VOTE DEMOCRAT IN THE MID-TERM. THE NEED TO MANIFEST “MANIFEST DIVERSITY With so many cultures, races, and ethnic groups from around the world, wouldn’t it be beneficial to work together instead of against each other? Why must we ignore the strengths, talents, and abilities of those who are different? Is it hard to believe that we can share experiences, knowledge, and stories from diverse perspectives of diverse people?  Think about all the stories you heard, and think about the languages, beliefs, and lifestyles. How about the music, do you see any similarities, any differences? What message did you receive? How do you make sense of what you just experienced? These are the questions Manifest Diversity answers. It is a collaboration of experiences, stories, and narratives from people around the world. It is about working together to find the collective consciousness of people in all shapes and forms. Manifest Diversity does not discriminate. We welcome anyone and anything that creates understanding, respect, and compassion. How amazing it would be if we just take the time to learn about each other, find each other and believe and accept each other. We would like for you to take the time and visit our “manifest diversity community”, a community where judgment, discrimination, hate, and racism are not welcomed. The mission of manifest diversity is to establish a society without the ills presently in place in our world. We would like to see a manifestation of cultural understanding and harmony, to truly accept each other where our difference, lifestyle, language, and belief system is welcomed. UNAMOS FUERZAS Y EMPEZEMOS UN PLAN DE ACCION, LA VIOLECIA Y LAS ARMAS NO SON LA SOLUCION(2 DE 2) LLego Septiembre, y muchos de nosotros nos preparamos para el regreso a la escuela. Como sera este? Despues de Uvalde, el dialogo de la seguridad escolar es parte del dialogo del dia a dia de padres, educadores y estudiantes. Les insto a participar en este tan importante dialogo y a comunicarse con sus legisladores a nivel estatal. Necesitamos saber cuales son las propuestas para programas de edificacion civica, social y comunal. Como podemos integrar la musica, el arte y la creatividad en los salones de clase e involucar las familias, escuelas y comunidades. El arte, la musica y la creatividad son anclas hacia un balance educacional e intelectual en nuestras escuelas. Hago un llamado a los legisladores para que trabajemos juntos y podamos crear programas de educacion cultural y artistica desde el maternal hasta la universidad. Hago un llamado a la clase artistica para que lleven su mensaje de Esperanza a los legisladores y les demuestren como sus canciones, arte y musica refleja la realidad de nuestra comunidad. A traves de la musica de todo genero, nuestros estudiantes expresan y representan sus diversas realidades. Invito a los artistas y a sus compositores a participar en el dialogo y a trabajar mano a mano en nuestras escuelas. La musica puede corelacionarse con todas las materias: la matematica, la fisica, la literature y la educacion fisica. Creemos puentes educativos a traves del arte. Pidamos a los legisladores mas fondos para incrementar las ciencias y el arte. Mas fondos para forjar programas de teatro, cine y escritura en las escuelas y centro comunitarios. Hago un llamado en especial a la comunidad compositadora y exponente de la musica urbana. Su musica, mensaje y estilos de vida hablan mucho de la vida y nuestras experiencias como grupo. Unanse a nosotros y junto a los edificadores de comuniades y gestores culturales llevemos un mensaje de edificacion y esperanza a las escuelas. El 2022-2023 sera el comienzo de una nueva historia, de una narrativa aguda donde nos preguntamos como sera el salon de clase post Uvalde. Toma un momento y piensa de que manera concreta puedes participar y edificar tu distrito escolar. Somos Uno, Y todos somos Uvalde. Adelante! Si Podemos cambiar la historia!
